My axle was making some noise on harder turns, so I replaced it with what I hoped to be a decent product even though the price didn't reflect it. It is new, not re-manufactured and seemed to be well built.
However it was immediately making noise after installation. Now after only a few weeks it has more play than the orig. one, however under light spirited driving I don't experience any trouble from it.
So the question is, do I keep the new axle in the car for tomorrow and bring the orig. in case I have problems and I can change it at the track, (not a terrible difficult job) or should I put the orig. one back in? (which has less play, and I could slide the boot back and pack some more grease in it) Either way I would bring the other axle in case of failure. And honestly I doubt I would have a failure either way.
Now I have to see how they will handle the warranty.
