I'd love to be there. But I need to put my new shocks on and replace a few bushings. I doubt very much I'll have that all done by then.

Dont think I will be able to make it out. Miata is getting all new poly bushings, and Mirage needs new brake lines and clutch lines. I will be there with both my video cameras though.

I would like to sign up for the morning session so long as this crappy weather goes away by Sunday.
I haven't raced competitively or on lapping days in 7 years when I used to run SCCA and N.A.S.A. events over in Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina with my old 89 Saleen Mustang.
I will be coming with Jon Joling out of the Stevens Point / Wisconsin Rapids area. My name is Cory Coulthurst and I will be driving a 1996 Mystic Mustang Cobra.

Hey whats up guys im Zac I will be attending the afternoon session,, I am noob to this track stuff,, been down the drag strip a few times but thats about it...
99 Vr-4 is a no go,,
and my mx-3 is no were near ready (Motor build taking longer than expected)
So ill have my Daily Driver 95 Awd Talon ( bone stock ) After thinking about it prolly the best car i own for a first timer anyways
Need some beginners advice..
What tools ? Ill be bringing the usual tool kit: socket set, voltmeter etc,, How far should i go tool wise ?
Ill prolly bring some extra fluid's, not that anything leaks but ya never know..
Any other car maintence i should be aware about, I got new pads and decent rotors on fresh fluid.
Looking for tips and tricks for track day stuff
Tires ? Its goin to be cold and possibly rainy/snowy so i am lery about it. I have options though
Option 1 205 50 (5mm smaller than stock) 16 fuzion zri stock rim (Dont care for the tires or size however got them for 30 bucks a tire brand new) Winter clearance fleet farm !!! Couldnt pass them up
Option 2 215 55 16 Pirelli P Zero Nero's (All season) Of coarse its a better tire for the day however they are mounted on a set of chrysler sebring rims (My moms tires haha) will look just goofy but same rim dimensions
Option 3 Or I got 3 sets of 18inch rim and tire combos but as you can imagine although they look cool they would be horrible on the track for the talon....
What do you guys think ? Is it normal to bring to sets and change them during down time ?
Fuel ?
Come on a full tank ?
Bring some gas cans ?
Seems dumb to me to drive around a tack with a full tank
Advice
Is air available or should I bring a portable tank ?
Any track day advice will be greatly appreciated, Hopefully my first of many track days want to make it ass enjoyable as possible..
Looking forward to Sunday C ya guys there

I may be able to bring the protege up there, not sure yet. I need to replace balljoints and tie rod ends, and might even have a tranny output shaft bearing going out. Finding the time to do this minor work seems to be rather difficult right now.

Zazda - Air will be available.
I'd have at least half a tank of gas. You have 45 minutes (plenty of time) between sessions to leave and refuel if needed.
I'd run the cheap tires and if you are ambitious try changing a set before the day is over and see how the different tires compare. That is a lot of work though.
Tools. Bring whatever you can that is convenient. Don't go overboard. Have your car ready to go when you arrive so you can concentrate on your driving.
Have fun. It sounds like you are a well prepared kind of guy.

Whats going on with the snow situation in Shawano? The weather reports haven't changed since Monday saying it will snow this Sunday in most of central wisconsin and towards green bay.
I won't be bringing the Cobra in that type of weather, nor would i bring it in freshly salted roads that are still damp or wet.

Tom, Could we do a poll to vote on a date? I'd like to make every lap day I could, to get seat time.
I would vote April 18 or 19.
Just wondering cause it sounds like others would have trouble making it for next weekend, as I would.
