wheel alignment

Anybody know the how to of a front wheel alignment using the 4 jack stands and string? Toe is the only adjustment I can do anyway on the Jetta and I'm pretty positive it's off. Too much toe out. If so I could use a hand or at least a link to a good diy guide.

On this one look for the reply from the member named Def. Everything else is about camber plates.
