Found out the used struts I got this winter have "movement" along with a loose inner tie rod.

So I ordered new struts and a tie rod last Friday and they said they would make sure it shipped out right away Friday. Well I just the receipt via e-mail last night stating it just shipped yesterday. I already scheduled a front end alignment for Friday. They said they would see if they can get it here tomorrow. It's not looking good for Sunday. I even took a half day vacation for installation.

AAARRRGH!
Why don't the smilies work?

Well, I just got word, it actually didn't ship until today, so there is basically no way it'll get here by tomorrow which is what I would need in order to get an alignment done. According to the shipping schedule it should be here Monday. So I guess I'll see ya'll at Plover.

Oh, and the lapping day too.

Crap, where do you get parts from. I wait 2 days tops for parts that i order and thats pushing it. Helps that my brother works at bumper to bumper, but that's besides the point.

MJMautohaus.com Great prices and normally very good service. Takes more than 2 days usually, but not more than 4. but I always try to plan ahead.

They said they're not sure what happened. I know it's not normal. I've seen a lot of very good reports on them from vwvortex.

I was all set to start reassembling my car (last May) with the perfect weekend all set. Then the clutch parts didn't get there till monday. Argh.

And I thought it was feelin' good. The only reason I took it in was to get alignment check 'cause I had some uneven tire wear. Still drives perfectly straight and wheel is straight.

So, yes, I'm anxious to see if I feel a difference.

Well it's fixed now. I went with stock replacement Bilsteins. Says they are 10% stiffer than stock. 2 new tie rods too. All aligned and ready to go.

I gave a good pull on the ball joints when I tightened them to help a little with the "fixed" camber. Feels good on the road, but not really any different than b4. We'll see how it feels in Shawano.
