Time for some new skins on the subbie, I was thinking of just getting another set of the stock BBS wheels which are 17" X 8" and getting some of those nittos ? maybe go up one size? I can find the BBS wheels for about $200.00 a pc and i know those are good wheels.
SO Qust # 1 are there as good or better wheels out their for that kind of $ that I should look at? I'm looking for light ones!!I do not want to get bump out of the class I'm in now for auto X.
How dose that work? do you get bump for non stock size?
Thanks
looks like you missed the rain down their!!

Depends. What class are you in? ;)

Stirich is in STU. Not sure what he's done to the car to put him in that class or else he just wants to compete with other street tire cars.

If you have coil overs on the car, go with the bridgstone reo1-r or the advan neova ADO7 in a 245 for stu, but if your stock go with the khumo Ecsta V710 as wide as u can get to sit even on the rims and fit under the car, just my 2 cents.

well here's a couple links, just ask if you have any questions, oh, awd, limit for stu is 245, the 275 is for 2wd cars. stock class w/e u can fit on the rim and keep the tread surface reativly flat.

Wheel sizes are unrestricted in STU. You can fit the maximum allowable 245 on an 8" wheel. While the Bridgestone and Yok advice is good, I would also suggest the Dunlop Star Spec Z1. I've seen both 40 and 45 series being run on the Subie's. Way cheaper than either of those, and that's the tire that's picked to win at Nationals next week, so you know their competitive.

Have been gone a while.
Thanks for the input and info guys!
I have been looking at wheels and man what a mess! hard to get a straight answer.
I know what I would like, maybe go to 8.5 or 9" X18" if they will fit under the car, and light weight, like 15-16 lbs. The stock wheels are 21 lbs. So I figure I could save maybe 20 lbs. on 4 wheels and may as well get some light ones.
Its hard to find the wheel weights on line.
Do I have to spend $300.00 a wheel???
any ideas?

I don't think you can find 18" wheels for 15-16lbs, not for cheap anyway. Rota may make a few with decent weight and price. $300 per wheel for light weight 18's are about right. I think 21lbs for 18" is consider pretty reasonable. If you want light, 17" is probably the way to go.

it depends on the price right
