You probably think I'm nuts in saying... but I had a blast this summer taking pictures. Being able to hit up events all over the Midwest(ok, mostly Wisconsin[ok, only one OUTSIDE of Wisconsin]) and snap off a ton of pictures was fun for me.
Looked at my camera(s), I took a bit over 6300 photos. Tossed a good 2000 of them but still lots of good stuff.
I ended up buying a new dSLR camera body to aid in getting better pictures which I think was a good move.
But like all hobbies it comes with a price(other than that camera upgrade). Recently the lens I've been shooting all of these events with started going a little haywire(Autofocus isn't fuctioning correctly). To the point that I don't think I can really use it for events anymore. Poop!
Like with bits that break on your cars, I see it as an opportunity to upgrade So instead of buying a replacement($500), I purchased a lense off from Canon's high-end professional line($1250). The built in (4th Gen.)Image Stabilization along with the highly engineered glass used in it is going to make images sharper, more vivid, and show better contrast(something my current lens lacks[or lacked ]). On top of that it zooms out further for tighter shots of cars around the track.
I'll be honest in saying that the purchase is putting added strain on my pocket book. I recently had some unforseen medical expenses that didn't help at all.
With that said, if there is anyone interested in donating a tad towards my work, anything would be appreciated to keep the photos comin.
If this is something you would like to help out with, I'd accept anything either from the Donation button below or in person. Anything given will go soley towards the new lens purchase.
Thanks guys...
Chad
