Default Tires

I am currently shopping around for tires for my srt4. i just got brand new 17" rims and i dont know what to put on them. I put about 3k miles on in the summer but i would drive it less so i wouldnt wear out the tires. Im stuck between the bfg rivals, rs3, re-11a. I plan on running a 245/40/17. What are your thoughts for the autox tracks around here? i plan on going to as many events as i can this year.

The cheapest would be the closeout Dunlop ZIIs with the $50 rebate. Good deal.

If you are competitive I'd say the RS3s and they are priced reasonable.

What's done to rear to clear ? I know rears at tougher and when getting a street tire like this they run wider than a reg 245

I have adjustable rear camber plates for the top of the coilover. I plan on rolling the fenders and quater panels and will do whatever it takes to make them fit. (i do auto body for a living) but all my research says I should just have to roll fenders. I bought the correct offset of rims for the setup I want.

With correct offset and camber should be good. I know it's common for that size on street but not sure how many track 245s without rubbing. My brother built a srt4 years ago and did few track days. I know he mentioned 245s at one point but can't say for sure that's what he used. He was also on bc coilovers. Some reason I was thinking rears had issues rubbing rear links like first gen neons I'm use to but I guess they don't. You gonna do the lapping day at usair in April?
